Wells Law attorneys receive HR Impact Award and Best Lawyer recognition
Two attorneys from Wells Law were recently recognized for their impact and quality of work in serving the legal needs of central Ohio businesses. Mindi Wells, Esq. was selected as a recipient of the HR Impact Award by Columbus Business First and Christen Shore, Esq. was selected for Best Lawyers 2022 by Columbus CEO.
Attorney Mindi Wells, founder and managing attorney of Wells Law, was selected for the HR Impact Award by Columbus Business First which recognizes excellence in human resource professionals from micro to large companies across Central Ohio. Mindi’s over 30 years’ experience in human resources frames her practical approach when counseling employers on strategies to minimize workplace disputes and reduce discrimination, harassment, and employment law issues. She serves as an “outside in-house counsel” for businesses that lack an in-house attorney and drafts policies and handbooks, audits HR practices and procedures, and advises companies on day-to-day workplace issues.
In nominating Mindi for the award, Charlie Morrison, president of MCR Medical said, “Over time, Mindi has helped us transition from a family owned and operated business into a respectable small business that operates within a defined structure, with roles and responsibilities, organized processes, and support systems. We work on this system regularly, and Mindi helps us evolve. With her help, we’ve been included on Columbus Business First’s Fast 50 list for six consecutive years.”
Mindi was honored at the 2022 HR Impact Awards Reception at The Wells Barn at the Franklin Park Conservatory on September 8. View the excerpt from Business First here.

Columbus CEO partnered with Professional Research Services, based in Michigan, to compile this list of more than 800 Best Lawyers in the Columbus area and is based on peer recommendations.
“It is truly humbling to be nominated by my peers for such an award. I look forward to many more years of partnering with our clients to help them succeed in their businesses.”
Christen has been practicing intellectual property law for over 25 years. She has represented both multi-national corporations, The Ohio State University, small businesses, and individuals in all aspects of intellectual property law.
